It was announced on June 24th 2020 in the United Kingdom that Epidolex (Epidyolex as it is called in the UK) has been down-scheduled to the lowest level of control for drugs. This greatly reduces the restrictions on companies who supply Epidyolex.
The drug was down-scheduled in the states back in 2018, but to see this move in the UK is very promising for the cannabis industry here.
The company who make the drug here in the UK, GW Pharmaceuticals, are obviously delighted about this move. The change allows the drug to be dispensed more easily, which could help thousands more families who would benefit from an Epidyolex prescription.
