More about the Tangerine Dream Strain

If you have never heard of the Tangerine Dream strain, then you’re missing out. This is another strain from the legends at the world famous Barney’s Farm (Amsterdam). Strangely, as popular as this strain is, there is very little known about it. Other than the fact that it has been produced from a cross between G13, Afghani and Neville’s Haze.

What Does Tangerine Dream Look Like?

To the nose the strain is like a bursting orchard of orange trees, clementines and glorious rainbows of orange but to look at, there is nothing special about the Tangerine Dream strain. It doesn’t scream fruity and flavourful like Zkittlez buds do, even if the scents do. The nugs are simple, olive green and very unsuspecting. There are a few burning orange hairs but nothing to suggest how citrusy and flavourful the strain is. To identify this strain may be quite hard unless you know the flavour intimately.

Aroma & Flavours

The strain is well known, and most famous, for its tangy, citrusy notes which are perfectly contrasted with the herbal, crumbly, buttery biscuit base. When you draw in the strain your tongue picks up the sharp end of orange and a faint herbal hash. On the exhale the bright orange glows embers and opens into a bright and fragrant flavour of oranges. Towards the tail end of the exhale you will notice the slightly harsh herbal base kicking in. It may be subtle but the combination of the two lingers in perfect harmony.

The names are very similar – but imagine a Blue Dream strain that swaps it’s Blueberries for a lip-licking mix of Orange, Lemon and Grapefruit. The flavour and effects are so good that it won the 2010 Cannabis cup.

The Tangerine Dream High

As the strain is mostly from Sativa origin, the Tangerine Dream strain offers a clear headed, uplifting and focused effect that yet leaves you feeling relaxed. It is the perfect mix of energy and mellow which allows for a relaxed clear head. Whether you are looking for a strain for creative tasks or for a long night of being social, you can’t go wrong with some Tangerine Dream Weed.

This strain’s THC content of this strain is very, very high and if you take too much the indica characteristics pop out and may leave you stick to whatever surface you find yourself on. You may also experience the following:

  1. Dry Mouth
  2. Dry Eyes
  3. Dizzy
  4. Paranoia
  5. Anxious

 Tangerine Dream Leafly

The leafly Tangerine Dream page is one of the most populated on the website. We don’t usually mention other review sites but leafly is the actual bible. Check out the Tangerine Dream Leafly page and read some of the reviews for this strain.

CBD Tangerine Dream

Although the full THC version of this strain is still illegal you can still find CBD flower versions and concentrates. When it comes to CBD flower, most of the time what you by is either poor quality or nothing like what you are expecting. For a real authentic CBD Tangerine Dream experience we would suggest a concentrate vape cartridge or concentrate which uses the terpenes from the plant. Not only will you get a potent dose of CBD, you will get the full clarity of the famous citrusy flavours.
