We often review health brands that don't sell CBD, especially when they look interesting or useful for our readers. When we heard about Symprove - a probiotic brand based in the UK - we were immediately intrigued and decided that they'd be worth a review. As always we'll be looking at:
Who is Symprove?
We like to start with an overview of any brand that we're reviewing - luckily there is a really fleshed out 'About' section of the Symprove website that includes information about their backstory and their philosophy.
The brand was founded way back in 2002, by a farmer called Barry Smith. In the late 80s, Barry had created his own animal feed from germinated grains (a form of probiotic). After seeing how this positively impacted his animals, he decided to see if he could create a similar product for humans. After many years of research, Symprove was born.
This is a great backstory and really refreshing to hear. Most brands in the health space are founded by boards of scientists and people looking to make as much money as possible - Barry's story is much more interesting.
What are the Symprove products like?
We mentioned in our introduction that Symprove are specialists in probiotic products - we expected them to be capsules but it is actually a sort of drink. Apparently, this helps the friendly bacteria reach the gut more effectively.
Navigating the Symprove website and trying to find the shop page is a little confusing, mainly because it doesn't really exist. Instead, there is a 4 week subscription option which costs £79, a bit more expensive than we expected. You can buy an unflavoured variety of a Mango and Passionfruit flavour drink from Symprove.

What are the Symprove third-party reviews like?
