There are thousands and thousands of vape pens to choose from, but there aren’t many quite like Pax Vaporizer. In short, Pax is a company which produces juul-esk vape pods which are designed specifically for concentrate & flower. Funnily enough- PAX is actually a spin-off of JUUL but a separate entity. We are not 100% sure whether the two are still affiliated/ if the team still works closely together, but for sure the technology looks very similar.
The company has its headquarters in San Francisco.
Vape pens in general (especially the high-temperature rigs), but particularly vape pens for cannabis concentrates are well known for having a number of issues. To begin with, the quality of the pens has always been in doubt as fire risks, or some even exploding. Then you have issues with heavy metal content in the concentrates from the low-quality materials used in the cartridge. After some time, the terpenes and essential oils in the concentrate break down these metals and you breathe them in which isn’t particularly healthy (actually really bad).
The most common issue vapers of concentrates find is that the pens heat the concentrates up too much, which burns the active ingredients, leaving a nasty bitter taste (which is even worse for your lung health). It means that you don’t enjoy the full experience of the terpenes and flavours, and the flavour can become burned and harsh. Not to mention that the cannabinoid content in the concentrates can become damaged or reduced in terms of quality.
Pax is seemingly designed to combat these issues by controlling the temperature of the pen via an app which also tracks your consumption and allows you to tailor your experience. There are other really unique and well thought out features which help the user control the temperature and enjoy the experience: from lip sensors to quirky light sequences and even vibrations. All in all, the little pod is way more complicated than it seems.
The Pax Vaporizer comes in a few shapes and sizes. From the larger, more powerful units which are designed to intake concentrate pods, to her vaporisers which are designed for cannabis flowers. We are particularly interested in the ground flower Pax as we are so used to using the manual Dynavap which requires some setup, and effort to get right. It would be amazing to have a device that took care of everything for you.
The Pax Vaporizer can also be used on its own or connected to a specially designed app which has a load of features to help you find your perfect vaping balance. We have looked around and can’t find anything like this.
It seems as though a lot of time and effort has been put into the Pax vaporizer product range and the technology behind the pen itself. We are yet to try the Pax products but we know that they are up and coming so it will not be long before they are on every shelf on the highstreet.
