More about the Orangeade Weed

If there are two strains that you’d want to cross to get a full fruity flavour, it would be Tangie and Purple Punch. Guess what, the Orangeade strain is exactly that. Much like another Tangie child, Forbidden Fruit (Indica), Orangeade is an extremely flavourful sativa dominant hybrid which can be smelled before it can be seen. The sweet, sour citrusy and tangy notes are easily recognised as a mixture of lemons, oranges, grapefruit and lime. The bouquet of tropical fruits clearly comes from the Tangie lineage but the powerful effects from Punch itself.

To look at, the strain is a dark green with a washing of white and burning orange hairs and trichomes (a bit like fizzing juice). Much like the famous Tangerine Dream strain, the aroma of the strain hits you first and is its real selling point.

The orangeade strain is much loved by those who enjoy a strain such as Mimosa (Sour and Sweet Sativa) or Zkittlez (very fruity Indica).

As the orangeade strain is a hybrid, many users noticed different effects from this strain. Most though will notice the cerebral head high which is focusing, energising and euphoric. The body may feel relaxed and slower than before which opens you up to a state of bliss: ideal for sitting on a sunny beach or a relaxed social event. The ideal situation would be a sunny afternoon net to a BBQ. This strain is likely to make you hungry so if you’re wanting to enjoy a wonderfully relaxed evening with dinner, then the Orangeade strain will be your best friend.

The strain is often used to aid the symptoms of anxiety, depression and can increase your appetite so make sure to keep a bowl of snacks close to hand!

The Orangeade strain has high levels of THC (between 15% – 20%) and very low levels of CBD which means that this strain is particularly potent. You should be aware that there are potential negative side effects which come with high THC strains- the list of noted effects are as below:

  1. Anxiety
  2. Dry Eyes
  3. Dry Mouth
  4. Paranoia
  5. Dizzyness
