OG Kush is the OG. It is certainly one of the most well known cannabis strains on the planet and is a favourite among cannabis users young and old. The Origins of OG Kush is not well documented but some suggest that it comes from Florida, while others suggest that the strain originates from California. The theory goes that Chemdog was crossed with Hindu Kush (an indica strain from the Netherlands).
Regardless of the origin story of OG Kush, the strain is extremely famous for its unique peppery, spicy and herbal aromas along with a high THC potency (up to 25%). The strains strong genes have produced other huge strains such as Girl Scout Cookies and Headband.

The buds are fairly dense and resemble the strong coned indica structure. The leaves should be a yellow (they can also be purple caused by the anthocyanin pigments when activated by the cold). You will notice the orange pistils which seem to burn among the dense green bud.
The high THC content leaves a layer of white trichomes which can give the dense bids a shine and a stickiness that is characteristic of the OG Kush strain family.
