Grass Roots Skin - Super Serum, Eye Refiner & more
Grass Roots Skin is a CBD skincare brand based in the UK. We first heard about this brand after seeing some press coverage, so we decided to check them out. We were really impressed so knew we should publish an article for our audience. Let's get into it:
Who is Grass Roots Skin?
There is an excellent 'About' section on the Grass Roots Skin website that explains who is behind the brand and what the brand stands for.
The brand was founded by Jo, Lyndsey and Zoe. The trio had already established themselves within the beauty industry via their other ventures and decided to seek out another challenge. Initially they planned to create a facial that would be suitable for all skin types, but when they stumbled across CBD they knew they were onto a winner. Despite the difficulties associated with getting a safe CBD product onto shelves, these ladies were well up to the task and committed themselves to create an excellent range of CBD skincare products.
We love this backstory and can clearly see that the people behind the brand have a genuine passion for beauty/skincare. We also love that they saw the challenges associated with the CBD industry, but still decided to pursue it because they believed in the compound so much. Inspiring really!
What are the Grass Roots Skin products like?
Now let's get into the good stuff - the Grass Roots Skin product range consists of CBD washes, creams and oils (as well as some skin tools). Let's start with the products that really made us interested, the super serum and the eye refiner.
Grass Roots Skin describe their Skin Drench Super Serum as the "superhero" of their range, and it isn't hard to see why. The serum is packed with goodness including 300mg of CBD isolate, a really nice dosage for a topical product. There is a 15% concentration of Vitamin C which helps to brighten the skin and reduce redness, and the Matrixyl 3000TM helps collagen reproduction for anti-aging. This product will keep your skin hydrated and youthful.
The eye refiner is a gel that contains 300mg of CBD isolate once again. It also has retinol and collagen that help to reduce the signs of ageing and fine lines. Alongside the CBD you've also got Green Tea extract, Avocado oil and Aloe - a pretty potent trio of natural ingredients.
We're big fans of applying CBD to the skin, particularly because recent studies have shown how effectively CBD can be absorbed by the skin. We've seen plenty of athletes begin to apply CBD to their skin for recovery purposes, the same principles apply for beauty.
We like how the Grass Roots Skin team have outlined everything you need to know about the products and also how to use them. There are a number of products we haven't mentioned so be sure to explore the full range for yourself.
