More about the Cookie Dawg Strain

This is one of the many, brilliant strains in the Dawg family. Cookie Dawg (Or Dawg Cookie) is an hybrid which leans strongly into its indica genetics (Some say 70%, others say 90%). If you’re really into your Chem’s then you should consider Stardawg for the morning, and Cookie Dawg for the evening.

The strain is a cross between Girl Scout Cookies and Chemdawg (also Chemdog) which explains Cooke Dawg’s fairly high THC levels (15%-20%) and complex pungent aromas.

To look at, the buds are fairly dense and lightly sticky from the layer of THC. The colour is olive green with beautiful long burning orange hairs. Even when holding the bud you can sense the notes of buttery crumble and diesel – this really ramps up when you put it into a grinder, or rub between your fingers.

The buds takes its nutty yet sweet flavour from GSC with a powerful chemical exhale like somebody spilled petrol on your lunchtime snack. Although the chem-trail may be harsh and leave you coughing, the strain’s enjoyable notes of vanilla and sweet biscuit really shine through. This complex aroma keeps you going back for more, and more.

The effects of Cookie Dawg are raved about across the board but you should be aware that this strain may be better for a more experienced cannabis user. From cannabis enthusiasts to online forums. You should expect the warmth of sedation and an increased appetite, along with a very euphoric and giggly head. This is a perfect strain for plonking yourself in front of a silly comedy with a massive bowl of crisps (or chips if you’re from the US).

The strain has high levels of THC (between 15% – 20%) and very low levels of CBD which means that this strain is particularly potent. You should be aware that there are potential negative side effects which come with high THC strains- the list of noted effects are as below:

  1. Anxiety
  2. Dry Eyes
  3. Dry Mouth
  4. Paranoia
  5. Dizzyness
