More About Clementine Marijuana

As sweet as it sounds, Clementine is a sativa-leaning hybrid cross between the famous Tangie and Lemon Skunk (by the Crockett Family Farms). The strain’s sweet and punchy aromas and mellow high has powered it to stardom and a concentrated oil made from the strain won the title of Second Best Sativa Concentrate in 2015.

Clementine is also particularly well known for being one of the parents of Citrus Punch and the spectacular Mimosa.

What Does it Look Like?

The first thing to look for is the size of the buds, the Clementine buds are particularly large and taper down towards a pointed base.

Their colouring is very similar to Orangeade where light greens poke out alongside bright orange pistls, and a white wash of hairs and trichomes.

They are the classic elongated sativa structure with fluffy leaves in a loose bunch and thick stem in the middle. The THC levels can get up to 27% so you can expect a thick milky layer of trchicomes which make the buds a little more difficult to break up without a grinder.

Aromas & Flavours

While you expect oranges from this strain, there is a whole range of delicates notes of citrus which comes through, along with a chemical diesel funk. You can smell the notes of Lemon and Orange as soon as the buds are broken, with a strong scent of pine.

The chemical elements of the strain make the citrus flavours almost articfical, like sipping cleaning product. This sounds awful but the complex hash and citrus work together very well. All in all, it is a very interesting and pungent flavour profile which is for a real stoner.

The High

What makes Clementine so saught after is the lovely mellow sativa high. While the strain takes hold fast, there isn’t such a strong cerebral haze that comes with other Sativas like Super Lemon Haze. Clemetine has a very creative high which takes the user into a space where their attention is absorbed by ideas, planning, problem solving and creativity.

The strain is ideal for cleaning, running errands or painting. Users should expect a physical relaxation and should not experience such intense recursive thinking that often occurs with strong sativa strains. The Clementine strain is much more relaxed and can help with clearing your thoughts, than overpowering your mind with them.

If you’re looking for a great wake, and bake on a busy weekend morning, then the Clementine strain may be a great choice!
