Cannaray review

Updated November 2nd, 2023

Cannaray are a CBD company based in the UK.... and considering that you can buy them on Amazon now they are pretty big. Even Claudia Winkleman wants some.

We've been hearing a bit of buzz about these guys for a while, so we thought it would be a good idea to conduct a full review of Cannaray to see what all the buzz is about. We'll be taking a look at their products, reviews and customer service to determine if they're worth your time or not. Let's get into the review:

Cannaray (aka Claudia Winkleman CBD) Overview

We like to start all of our reviews with an overview of the brand we're looking at, but often we struggle to find any background information for this section. Luckily Cannaray have a useful 'Our Story' section on their site which outlines their background and everything which makes them special.

We were pleasantly surprised to find that these guys take their CBD very seriously - the company works with a scientific advisory board which includes psychiatrists, neurologists, pain specialists, medical cannabis experts, drug delivery experts and pharmacists to ensure every product they produce gets the seal of approval from the board. We'll explore more about how this team help cannaray create their products in the relevant section of our review, but this alone is pretty impressive and practically unheard of within our industry.

It's obvious that these guys wanted to set a high standard for the CBD industry, and it certainly looks like they're achieving that.

What are the Cannaray CBD products like?

We should start by saying that the Cannaray CBD arrived in a lovely box with lots of information. We really liked this and although it doesn't reflect the quality of the product, it's still a nice touch.

We've already mentioned the fact that every product produced by Cannaray is checked by a team of experts, but there's even more to their process to know about. For example, they're one of the only CBD brands in the UK using VESIsorb® technology in their capsules to improve the bioavailability of CBD (by 5x vs. other CBD capsules on the market according to the Cannaray guys). Their commitment to quality is rather impressive.

As for the product range, they've got oils, capsules, and 2 cbd creams. A nice selection without being overwhelming. The oils are available in 3 different concentrations, and all use MCT as the carrier oil (may not be suitable CBD oil for dogs or other pets). They're broad spectrum oils (so they're THC free) and they've been triple lab tested. Plus, Cannaray have the lab reports on their site to prove what's inside (hallelujah).

We've already mentioned the process for creating the capsules, but the product which catches our eye is the curcumin capsules. Fortifying CBD products with other natural substances is a nice way of getting a double whammy of goodness.  Curcumin is the primary bioactive substance in turmeric and has similar anti-inflammatory benefits.

We tried the 300mg Juniper Lime CBD oil from Cannaray and found it to be quite interesting. Firstly, let's start with positives - the taste is really pleasant, and you can taste the lime in a really subtle way. The bottle has loads of information about the product on it, including how much CBD is in 1 whole dropper (10mg). Overall, not a bad start.

Our criticisms would mostly be related to the CBD content of the product and the fact that the product is made in the USA. For a beginner this CBD oil would be ideal, for us it was like throwing a water balloon at a bonfire - we didn't feel much benefit even from a whole dropper!

Overall there is a lot to like here and for beginners, this might be a solid choice, but you'll likely outgrow this product pretty quickly.

Cannaray Muscle Balm

The muscle balm from Cannaray is one of the most popular products in the range, and we're not too surprised by this - it's a good product at a reasonable price. Each jar contains 250mg of CBD, which is not a bad amount for a topical CBD product. We really like the citrus scent of this product. I would say that compared to some of the other CBD balms we've tried, the texture of this balm is quite thick, which makes it quite hard to rub into the skin (I had to warm it up in my hands a bit before applying). This is because it's made with beeswax, so it's a little thicker than some of the other CBD balms we've tried.

Cannaray CBD gummies

We've tried lots of CBD gummies, and most of the time our main issue with the CBD gummies we try is that they're not strong enough for our needs. We can't say that about the Cannaray CBD Gummies - 10mg per gummy is actually a really good amount to be getting, and we've been enjoying pairing a Cannaray CBD gummy with something stronger, like a bit of CBD paste. We also enjoyed the orange flavour, which tasted natural and not artificial.

What are the Cannaray reviews like?

Everything looks good so far, but how about the reviews? Cannaray have a number of ratings on Google (where they have a 5 star rating) and they use Yotp on their site, where they have an average rating of 4.8/5. You can also find reviews directly on the Cannaray website - for example we've included a screenshot of their Oral Drops product page where you can see a 4.5 out of 5 rating. We know these guys are still building up their reputation in this industry, and we expect to see loads more great reviews over the next few months.

Claudia Winkleman has put her name on the CBD which has to show for something? Right?

There is also a Cannaray Trustpilot profile, which has never been claimed and only includes a few reviews (find it here). There are obviously lots of CBD brands with great Trustpilot ratings, and you can find our favourites here.

Is Cannaray CBD oil good?

We have to say yes, we think the Cannaray CBD oils (Claudia Winkleman CBD brand) and other products are good. They're lab-tested, they're well-priced and we also love the branding.

If you're new to CBD then Cannaray would be a pretty safe option.

So far, Cannaray are doing everything right. We love to see a CBD company going the extra mile to ensure quality, and that's exactly what these guys are doing. One to watch for sure! Rather than buying a Holland and Barrett CBD oil for easy, get yourself something from our best list.
